A versatile athlete, Wade Alberts (Ainsworth, Neb.) was a nine-time All-America in track & field at Nebraska Wesleyan from 1991-95. Competing in sprints, jumps and relays, Alberts earned All-America status in each season that he competed.

At his final meet, Alberts was the NCAA III National Champion in the long jump to earn his second national championship title. His first national champion honor came in 1993 when he helped the 4x400 relay team set a school record and win the national title at the NCAA III Indoor Championships.

He earned three All-American awards in the long jump, two in the triple jump and four All-American honors as a member of relay teams. At the conference level, Alberts was a nine-time NIAC champion winning NIAC titles in the long jump, triple jump, 300 and on relay teams.

When he graduated in 1995, Alberts held three school records and was on the NWU top 10 charts in 12 different events. He still holds the school record for the indoor 300 yards an is second in the indoor triple jump.
