She was a three-time All-American in the hurdle events and was an All-American once in the pentathlon and heptathlon.

She began her All-American run as a sophomore in 1992 placing sixth in the indoor 55 meter hurdles and seventh at the outdoor 100 meter hurdles at the NCAA III Championships. She earned her other hurdle All-American honor by placing fourth at the 1993 NCAA Indoor Championships.

As a senior she was an NAIA All-American at the Indoor Pentathlon and placed seventh at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the heptathlon. She was a conference champion in the long jump and set the school record in the 4x100 hurdle relay. For her career Guthrie was a four-time NIAC Champion and earned 15 All-Conference honors.
