Gina Murphy (Wisner, Neb.) was a three-time 1st-Team All-Conference performer for the Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team. As an outside hitter, Murphy was part of some of the winningest programs in NWU volleyball history.

As a senior in 1989, Murphy was 1st-Team All-NIAC helping NWU to earn a spot in the 1989 NCAA III National Tournament, their first appearance in seven years. For the second straight season she recorded over 200 kills and 500 digs.

The Wisner-Pilger HS graduate earned 1st-Team All-NIAC at outside hitter in 1988 playing on a team that still holds the school record for victory. Her junior season she was named NAIA District 11 honorable mention as NWU ended the year with a 45-9 overall record. She was named team MVP and best defensive player as a sophomore in 1987 when she picked up her first All-NIAC 1st-Team recognition. She had a career-high 294 kills during the 1987 season.

Murphy ended her career appearing setting the school record for career digs with 1,521, a total that ranks 7th today. Her 155 career service aces put her 5th all-time and is still 10th. She also had 827 career kills during her four seasons.
