Hall of Fame
Josh Beaver (Lincoln, Neb.) was a two-sport standout that earned All-American recognition in both football and track & field at Nebraska Wesleyan. Beaver was an All-American tight end for the NWU football team and a national champion discus thrower on the track & field team.

Beaver was a two-time All-American on the gridiron earning NCAA III honorable mention All-America honors as a junior in 1999 and NAIA honorable mention recognition as a senior in 2000. He was 1st-Team All-NIAC in 1999 and garnered 2nd-Team All-West Region honors. As a senior, Beaver was 2nd-Team All-GPAC leading the Prairie Wolves to the conference championship.

He finished his football career with 20 career receiving touchdowns to rank tied for 3rd in school history. He caught 79 passes from his tight end position for 1,133 yards.

One of the top throwers in school history, Beaver was a 5-time All-American in track & field. He set the school record in the discus and indoor weight throw. He was the 2000 NCAA III Discus National Champion, the first and only NWU athlete to win the discus national title. He earned three All-America honors in the discus and two in the weight throw. Beaver was national runner-up in the discus as a senior and placed third as a sophomore.

The Lincoln High graduate won the conference discus championship all four years of his career. As a senior he won the GPAC title in the discus, hammer and shot put to earn Outstanding Male Performance of the meet honors. He finished his career with nine individual conference titles.
