A standout on the court and in the classroom, Justin Wilkins (Lincoln, Neb.) was a true student athlete at Nebraska Wesleyan playing center for the basketball team and earning Academic All-American honors.

Wilkins was a two-time 1st-Team All-NIAC selection at center in basketball earning three total All-Conference awards. As a senior, he set a school record shooting 68.8% from the field, a record that still stands today. A three-year starter at center, Wilkins ranks 2nd all-time at NWU in FG percentage shooting 61.4 %.

In his senior season, Wilkins led NWU to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA III Tournament averaging 14.4 points and 8.8 rebounds. He was 10-11 scoring 24 points in a game versus Baker and pulled down a career-high 23 rebounds in a win over Dana. He finished his career with 1,197 points and still ranks 7th in program history with 727 rebounds.

The Lincoln Southeast H.S., graduate was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American. Wilkins was a 1st-team selection as a senior in 1995 and earned 2nd-Team recognition in 1994.Â
