Christina Renner (Firth, Neb.) had a record-breaking career with the Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball program. Renner left school as the school record holder in four different categories including season kills and career digs.
Â
Renner, a Norris H.S., graduate, was a four-time All-Conference performer. She was named First-Team All-NIAC in three different seasons, earning the honor in each of her final three seasons. She was honorable mention All-NIAC in 1995.
Â
As a senior, Renner was named to the AVCA All-Central Region team, just the fifth NWU player at that time to be recognized as All-Region. She set the school record for kills during her senior season with 613, averaging a school record 4.64 kills per game. Her 634 digs in 1998 also set the school record at the time, and still ranks fifth in school history.
Â
Renner finished with a career kill total of 1,434 to rank second all-time at Nebraska Wesleyan. She accumulated 237 service aces, a school record that still stands today. Her 1,626 career digs was a school record at time of her graduation and currently ranks 4th on the NWU all-time charts.
