Tracy Nichols (Geneva, Neb.) had a standout career as a member of the Nebraska Wesleyan women’s golf team. As a senior she was named the 1994 Nebraska Woman of the Year, representing the state’s NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III institutions. She was chosen based on her academic and athletic excellence and community leadership.
As a senior, Nichols won the NAIA District 11 Championship as an individual. She then went on to lead NWU to their first appearance at the NAIA National Championships. At the national championships, she was the team’s top placer finishing 26th overall at the event.
Nichols was a three-time All-Nebraska Iowa Athletic Conference golfer, finishing fifth in both her junior and senior seasons. In the fall of 1993, Nichols had four top five finishes on the season and had the team’s top scoring stroke average.
