The “Voice of the Prairie Wolves” Dick Janda has served as the play-by-play radio voice of Nebraska Wesleyan football and basketball the past nine years. A longtime Nebraska broadcaster, Janda provides Prairie Wolves fans in-depth coverage and exciting calls on the radio dial and over the internet.
He has broadcasted over 300 games for the Prairie Wolves covering the past decade on KFOR Radio. In addition to his radio coverage of football and men’s basketball, Janda has also done play-by-play broadcasts of NWU volleyball and women’s basketball on the internet during video webcasts.
Janda got his start at Nebraska Wesleyan serving as the Sports Information Director in the late 1970s. He then went on to a successful career on local Lincoln TV and radio stations. The Ord, Neb., native has covered numerous historic sporting events in the state of Nebraska.
Since his return to NWU, Janda has given Prairie Wolves athletics wonderful coverage sharing the stories of NWU student athletes to the local media. Starting with his “Wesleyan Wednesday’s” during his sports talk show, to his current feature of “P-Wolf Profiles”, Janda interviews Nebraska Wesleyan athletes and coaches showcasing the successful stories of Prairie Wolves athletics.
