Kristen Wakeley (Norfolk, Neb.) had a record-breaking career with the Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball program as a three-year starter at setter.  She left NWU as the career record holder for assists and service aces and is still in the top three on the all-time charts today.
 
Wakeley, a Norfolk H.S., graduate, was a two-time All-Conference performer as a setter. She was honorable mention All-NIAC in 1992 and 1994.  She earned All-NAIA District 11 recognition as a sophomore in 1992.
 
She finished in the top 20 of the NAIA in assists per game as a junior, leading the team in assists and aces.  She was the MVP of the Pikes Peak Challenge in 1993.  In 1994, Wakeley was third in the NIAC in assists and fifth in aces.

Wakeley ended her career with a total of 3,183 assists that set a new school record and ranks second still today.  Her 176 career service aces also set a new school record and currently ranks third all-time.
