SEWARD, Neb. (February 4, 2022) – The Nebraska Wesleyan men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Concordia Classic in Seward, Nebraska. For the third consecutive week, NWU had a runner turn in the fastest time in NCAA Division III and set the program record in the women's 60-meter dash.

A friendly battle for the fastest time in the women's 60-meter dash for not only the program record but also in the division is happening between NWU's Maddie Moran and Isabella Hogue. Moran turned in the nation's fastest time and program record two weeks ago at the PWolf Invite on January 21 with a time of 7.67. A week later, Hogue ran a 7.63 to lower the nation's and program's best mark. This afternoon, Moran reclaimed the top spot with a time of 7.60 in the finals of the event.

The Prairie Wolves picked up an individual title in the women's 400-meter dash from Isabella Hilger. Hilger ran a 58.73 in the race, which ranks seventh in program history. Reagan Janzen joined Hilger as an event champion. Janzen went wire-to-wire to win the women's 800-meter run with a time of 2:15.57. Additionally, Janzen's time set a new program record and won the race by nine seconds.

Grace Mueller highlighted Nebraska Wesleyan's women's field events. Mueller was runner-up in the triple jump with a mark of 35-10.

On the men's team, Kyle Dickinson turned in NCAA Division III's second-fastest time in the 400-meter dash. Dickinson clocked a time of 49.16 in the event. Garrett Lenners claimed his third straight championship in the men's 800-meter run. Lenners won the race with a time of 1:54.26, his fastest indoor time.

In the men's 3,000-meter run, Norbert Weijenberg claimed the top spot. Weijenberg won the race with a time of 8:45.26, edging out the runner-up by just over a half-second. Weijenberg was also one of three Prairie Wolves to finish in the top five and run lifetime bests.

Ott placed third in the shot put with a mark of 49-7.75 and was top 7 in the weight throw with a mark of 55-1.50, both marks were personal records.
