ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Makenna Meyer launched the hammer 51.57 meters (169-2) at the Augustana Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier, breaking the program's freshman record and placing sixth in school history. The mark currently sits 33rd nationally in Division III. Meyer also competed in the discus, finishing fourth with a throw of 42.73m that ranks 58th in the country.
Rachel Smith advanced to the 100-meter hurdles final and placed sixth in a personal-best 14.39, a mark that ranks 25th nationally and fifth in program history. Smith ran a 15.05 in the prelims to advance and also competed in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing 10th in 1:04.67.
The 4x100 relay of Jadah Laughlin, Raegan Levi, Chloe Mooberry, and Rachel Smith placed eighth with a time of 47.16. That mark ranks second in school history and 25th nationally.
Mooberry contributed individually as well, jumping 5.64 meters (18-6) in the long jump to place second in the collegiate section. The junior's mark ranks 42nd nationally.
Arynn Spence won the collegiate javelin with a throw of 40.22 meters (131-11). Kaelyn Means placed fourth in the discus at 44.34m and sixth in the hammer at 48.77m.
Nebraska Wesleyan awaits qualifying announcements for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, set for May 21-23 in La Crosse, Wis., hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
