Lincoln, NE - Nebraska Wesleyan will wrap up a seven game home stand against Central College this weekend.

Nebraska Wesleyan and Central will open their series with a doubleheader on Friday, May 1st. Game one is slated to begin at 3:00 PM, with game two to follow at 6:00 PM. Saturday will see the teams square off at 1:00 PM. Each game will be played at Sandhills Global Youth Complex, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Nebraska Wesleyan will live stream the game and carry live stats.

ABOUT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan was swept by Coe in their last series and enters this weekend 12-25 overall, and 7-14 in the American Rivers Conference. NWU holds a team slash line of .258/.374/.369, and has scored 226 runs. The Prairie Wolves have combined for 316 hits, with 87 being extra base hits, including 22 home runs. Easton Johnson is in the midst of a career best season, leading the Prairie Wolves in hits (50), RBIs (33), and runs scored (30). Johnson also maintains a .338/..561/.414 slash line while also swiping 10 bases. Brady Bell and Duncan Ortega are two additional offensive weapons, combining for 87 hits, and 47 RBIs. Defensively, NWU carries a .957 fielding percentage, with pitchers combining for a 6.59 ERA and 1.68 WHIP. The Black and Gold have recorded 256 strikeouts this season. Garrett Walsh registers as the team's ace, posting a 4-4 record in eight starts, while posting a 2.55 ERA and 40 strikeouts. 

HEAD COACH JEFF CHRISTY
Jeff Christy is in his second year as the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. In his first season, Christy led the team to their first winning season since 2009 and helped NWU reach the A-R-C tournament championship game for the first time in school history.

SENIOR NIGHT
Nebraska Wesleyan is excited to honor its 13 member, 2026 senior class. This group of Prairie Wolves has helped the program reach incredible heights. This includes last season's 25 win, American Rivers Conference tournament runner-up team, which posted the programs most wins, and first winning season since 2009. 

SCOUTING CENTRAL
Central enters this week with a 15-20 overall record. The Dutch are 10-11 in American Rivers Conference play. Central holds a slash line of .281/.422/.374, with 341 runs scored on 221 hits. Defensively, the Dutch carry a .947 fielding percentage with pitchers combining for a 6.03 ERA and 1.58 WHIP. Central is led by Adam Carey, in his third season.
