GREENSBORO, N.C. - The 2026 ABCA NCAA Division III Region All-Defensive teams have been announced, with Nebraska Wesleyan University's Jaxon Volkmer selected as an All-Region IX second baseman.
 
Volkmer, a freshman, earned the first regional award of his career, joining Aaron Chazin as NWU's only players to ever receive the honor.
 
With a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, Volkmer had 56 putouts with 84 assists. At the plate, Volkmer batted .209 with 23 hits and 14 RBI. The Lincoln, Nebraska native recorded five multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games.
