Lincoln, NE - After a crushing 5-4, 10 inning loss to Hastings College, Nebraska Wesleyan is set to play seven games in Florida as part of its annual Spring Break Trip.
SPRING BREAK TRIP INFORMATION
Nebraska Wesleyan will play seven games in Florida from Tuesday, March 10th through Sunday, March 15th. NWU will open its trip in Pensacola against #1 Wisconsin-White Water, before facing Sewanee and Carroll. NWU will then travel to Pace, to face Wisconsin-White Water a second time before taking on Concordia University. The Prairiei Wolves will conclude their trip against Carroll and Edgewood in Pensacola.
ABOUT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan holds a 2-3 record and dropped its last game to Hastings by a score of 5-4. The Black and Gold have recorded a slash line of .218/.333/.327, with 32 hits and 20 runs scored.
Duncan Ortega has posted a team high eight hits and leads the team with a .444 batting average.
Easton Johnson has scored a team best five runs while also stealing three bases and launching NWU's lone home run. Trevor Storer have each recorded one win on the season, and both have a 0.00 ERA.
HEAD COACH JEFF CHRISTY
Jeff Christy is in his second year as the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. In his first season, Christy led the team to their first winning season since 2009 and helped NWU reach the A-R-C tournament championship game for the first time in school history.
