LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Wesleyan baseball team (4-9, 0-1) lost game one, 13-0, against Luther, at Sandhills Global Youth Complex, Friday evening as they could not plate a run in the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Norse took a 5-0 lead after three innings thanks to three runs in the third.
In the bottom of the fourth, though, Jake Shedarowich doubled with two outs and then Sam Schaefer drew a walk to put two runners on base. Luther, however, struck the next batter out to keep the Prairie Wolves scoreless.
Luther, however, came back with one in the top of the fifth, three in the fifth, and four in the seventh.
Easton Johnson and Brady Bell had two hits each with Bell also drawing a walk to reach base in each plate appearance. Sam Schaefer also drew a walk.
