LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska Wesleyan has adjusted its opening weekend baseball schedule, moving Saturday and Sunday's planned doubleheaders against Grinnell up a day to avoid frigid temperatures forecasted for Sunday.
The Prairie Wolves will now open the 2026 season Friday at 2 and 4:30 p.m. at NWU Stadium at Sandhills Global Youth Complex. The four-game series continues Saturday with first pitch set for noon, followed by the finale.
Each day will feature a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning contest.
The schedule change was made in anticipation of below-average temperatures expected in Lincoln on Sunday.
