CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa– Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer junior goalkeeper
Amber Pyle has been named the American Rivers Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Pyle made her first start of the season in goal Saturday and recorded six saves to help the Prairie Wolves shut out Dakota State, 2-0. She kept Dakota State scoreless through the first half before Nebraska Wesleyan broke through with the game's first goal in the 53rd minute.
Pyle is the first Prairie Wolf women's soccer player to earn an A-R-C weekly award this season.
