ABOUT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Friday will mark the third meet of Nebraska Wesleyan's indoor season. Through two meets, NWU has already made a splash nationally, and within the American Rivers Conference, while also rewriting several program top 10s. At the national level, the Prairie Wolf men and women have combined for 29 top 50 national marks, with 14 ranking inside the top 20.
Emmilly Berglund was also named USTFCCCAÂ Women's NCAA Division III National Athlete of the Week for her 14.02 meter shot put at the Concordia Early Bird on December 13th. At the conference level, Berglund and
Sam Clements were each named Field Athletes of the Week for their performances at the Concordia Early Bird. The Black and Gold have set 16 program top 10 marks through their first two meets and look to continue rewriting the record books as the season progresses.Â
DIRECTOR OF TRACK & FIELD AND CROSS COUNTRYÂ DERRICK MCKENZIE PROFILE
Derrick McKenzie is in his third season as the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country at Nebraska Wesleyan. In his first two seasons, Nebraska Wesleyan has 26 NCAA qualifying performances, 12 NCAA All-Americans, one individual national championship and two national runner ups. The Prairie Wolves have won nine individual conference championships and broke numerous school records. Prior to being named Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, McKenzie served as an assistant coach at NWU, where he coached sprints and relays.Â
