Twenty-Five Prairie Wolves Earn USTFCCCA Midwest Region All-Region Honors in Outdoor Track and Field

LINCOLN, Neb. — Twenty-five Nebraska Wesleyan student-athletes earned USTFCCCA Midwest Region All-Region honors in outdoor track and field, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced.

The Prairie Wolves men accounted for 16 of those honors across nine events, led by a pair of relay squads. The 4x400-meter relay team of Reed Emsick, Connor Halde, Barrett Mayfield and McClain Meyer earned All-Region recognition, as did the 4x100-meter relay unit of Steven Dalmeida, Bladen Kohl, Tyrell Fennell Jr. II and Ghaith Taha.

In the hurdles, Eli Etherton, Noah Smith and Jacob Young were each honored in the 110-meter hurdles, while Halde and Connor Plahn picked up All-Region nods in the 400-meter hurdles. The field events produced a trio of honorees in the shot put, Sam Clements, Gavin Kelch and Colin Wojtkiewicz, with Kelch also earning recognition in the discus and Wojtkiewicz extending his total to two selections with an All-Region nod in the hammer throw. Aydon McDonald rounded out the men's field honorees with a selection in the javelin.

Meyer and Emsick each added individual event honors to their relay selections. Meyer was recognized in the 400-meter dash and Emsick in the 800 meters.

On the women's side, Nebraska Wesleyan produced nine student-athlete selections across eight events. Jadah Laughlin and Rachel Smith headlined the group, each earning multiple honors. Laughlin was recognized in the 100-meter hurdles, while Smith earned selections in both the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles. Both also ran on the 4x100-meter relay alongside Raegan Levi and Chloe Mooberry, which earned All-Region distinction as well.

Mooberry was one of five Prairie Wolf women to earn honors in multiple individual events, picking up All-Region recognition in the long jump and contributing to both relay squads. Kaelyn Means earned selections in the discus and hammer throw, with Anna Lundahl also honored in the discus and Makenna Meyer joining Means in the hammer throw. The 4x400-meter relay team of Ainsley Galyen, Levi, Mooberry and Mckenna Smith completed the women's All-Region contingent.

Nebraska Wesleyan's track and field programs return to action at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in La Crosse, Wis., Thursday through Saturday, May 21-23.
