Ten Prairie Wolves Track & Field Stars Honored with CSC Academic All-District Nods

LINCOLN, NE. --- Ten Nebraska Wesleyan University student-athletes from both the men's and women's track & field/cross country programs have earned prestigious academic recognition, being named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. This honor recognizes their outstanding combined achievements in academics and athletics during the past school year.

Representing the NWU men are Morgan Conner, Tanner Johnson, Eric Lenz, Noah Smith, and Colin Wojtkiewicz. From the women's team, Avery Decker, Natalie Cummins, Keeley Hourigan, Raegan Levi, and Chloe Mooberry were recognized for their dedication in the classroom and on the track.

The CSC Academic All-America program distinguishes top student-athletes across NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and meet specific participation requirements in regular-season competition or conference championships.

Lenz, Smith, and Wojtkiewicz all qualified for the NCAA Championships in either indoor or outdoor track & field, with Wojtkiewicz and Smith capturing highly coveted All-American honors. Conner and Johnson also concluded remarkable careers, leaving their names in the program's record books.

On the women's side, Decker, Hourigan, Levi, Cummins, and Mooberry were instrumental in the Prairie Wolves' strong performances. Avery Decker particularly shined, securing an individual national championship at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio. Hourigan, Levi, Mooberry, and Cummins were all key members of the school record-breaking 4x100 meter relay team this season.

Academic All-American selections will be announced on July 15 for the women's honorees and July 16 for the men's, where these outstanding individuals will vie for further national recognition.
