Lincoln, NE (April 22nd, 2025) - After a lengthy nine game road trip, Nebraska Wesleyan returns to Lincoln to host Simpson and Wartburg to close out the 2025 home slate. 

LOCATION, GAME TIME, LIVE STREAM, & LIVE STATS
Nebraska Wesleyan will host Simpson on Tuesday, April 22nd, with the teams playing a double header. Game one is set for 3:30 p.m., with game two to follow at 6:00 p.m. The Black and Gold will then host Wartburg on Friday, April 25th, and Saturday, April 26th. Game one is set for 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Saturday's games will be contested at 12:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.  Nebraska Wesleyan's team1sports page will live stream each game. NWU will also provide live stats.

SCOUTING NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan posted a 3-1 record during last week's action and the team looks to continue its positive momentum as the season nears its end. The Prairie Wolves earned their second A-R-C series victory over the weekend by picking up a pair of victories against Central. Overall, NWU is 18-14, with a 7-9 mark in conference play. Offensively, the Black and Gold have recorded a slash line of .298/.379/.451, while scoring 224 runs on 319 hits. The Prairie Wolves have tallied 193 RBIs, while hitting 24 home runs. Defensively, NWU holds a .945 fielding percentage. Nebraska Wesleyan's pitching staff has recorded a team ERA of 6.91, while posting 222 strike outs.

HEAD COACH JEFF CHRISTY
Jeff Christy is in his first season as the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. He holds an 18-14 record. Christy comes to NWU from Nebraska where he served as an assistant coach from 2019-2023. 

NEBRASKA WESLEYAN BASEBALL TRADITION
Nebraska Wesleyan has won 23 conference championships with the most recent occurring in 2009. NWU's last tournament appearance occurred in 1982. Since joining the American Rivers Conference, the Prairie Wolves best finish is third in 2022. 

SCOUTING THE STORM
Simpson enters Tuesday with an 11-18 record while riding a three game losing streak. The Storm hold a slash line of .263/..363/..377, while scoring 175 runs on 241 hits. The Storm are coached by Nathan Roling, in his ninth season.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST SIMPSON COLLEGE
Tuesday will mark the 26th and 27th meetings between Nebraska Wesleyan and Simpson. The Storm hold a 14-11 all time series lead. Nebraska Wesleyan defeated Simpson on April 15th, 1-0.

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
Wartburg enters this week with a 16-14 record. Prior to visiting NWU, the Knights will host Buena Vista on Tuesday, April 22nd. Through 30 games, Wartburg holds a slash line of .262/.370/.421 while scoring 194 runs on 257 hits. The Knights are coached by Casey Klunder, in his second season.
