Lincoln, NE (April 14th, 2025) - After a winless start to a nine game road trip, Nebraska Wesleyan baseball looks to get back on track against Simpson and Central. 

LOCATION, GAME TIME, LIVE STREAM, & LIVE STATS
Nebraska Wesleyan will play a single game at Simpson College on Tuesday, April 15th. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The Roll Rivers Network will live stream the game. Simpson will carry live stats. NWU will then travel to Pella, Iowa, for a three game series at Central College. Game one will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April18th, with games two and three being played on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Central Dutch Network will live stream the game. Central will provide live stats.

SCOUTING NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan is looking to get back on track after posting an 0-5 record during a week that saw NWU get outscored 53-14. Prior to the recent losing skid, Nebraska Wesleyan had posted its first conference series victory since 2023, and its best start since joining the American Rivers Conference in 2016. Through 28 games, Nebraska Wesleyan has posted a 15-13 overall record, while going 4-8 in American Rivers Conference play. Offensively, NWU has posted a slash line of .302/.383/.457, with 204 runs on 279 hits. The Prairie Wolves have driven in 176 RBIs and hit 22 home runs. Defensively, the Black and Gold hold a .940 fielding percentage. On the mound, NWU's pitching staff holds a team ERA of 7.53, while recording 187 strike outs.

HEAD COACH JEFF CHRISTY
Jeff Christy is in his first season as the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. He holds a 15-13 record. Christy comes to NWU from Nebraska where he served as an assistant coach from 2019-2023. 

NEBRASKA WESLEYAN BASEBALL TRADITION
Nebraska Wesleyan has won 23 conference championships with the most recent occurring in 2009. NWU's last tournament appearance occurred in 1982. Since joining the American Rivers Conference, the Prairie Wolves best finish is third in 2022. 

SCOUTING THE STORM
SImpson enters Tuesday with a 11-15 record. Simpson's last game saw the Storm defeat Loras in a high scoring, 22-15 series clinching victory The Storm hold a slash line of .277/..376/..391, while scoring 170 runs on 229 hits. The Storm are coached by Nathan Roling, in his ninth season.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST SIMPSON COLLEGE
Tuesday will mark the 25th meeting between Nebraska Wesleyan and Simpson. The Storm hold a 14-10 all time series lead. The two teams will meet again in Lincoln on April 22nd.

SCOUTING THE DUTCH
Central enters this week with a 13-14 record. Prior to hosting NWU, the Dutch will play a doubleheader against Westminster on Tuesday, April 15th. The Dutch carry a slash line of .274/.350/.416, while scoring 175 runs on 256 hits. Defensively Central holds a .950 fielding percentage, while the pitching staff has posted a 5.26 ERA. The Dutch are led by Adam Carey, in his third season.
