Women's Basketball to Visit Central Before Closing Season Against Buena Vista

LINCOLN, Neb. (February 19th, 2025) - Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball is set to conclude its 2025 regular season with a pair of games this week. The Prairie Wolves will visit Central College on Wednesday, before returning home to host Buena Vista on Saturday.

LOCATION, GAME TIME, LIVE STREAM & LIVE STATS
Nebraska Wesleyan will visit Central on Wednesday, February 19th, with game time set for 5:30 p.m. Central will live stream the game and carry live stats. Nebraska Wesleyan will host Buena Vista on Saturday, February 22nd, with game time set for 2:00 p.m. Nebraska Wesleyan will live stream the game and carry live stats. 

ABOUT THE PRAIRIE WOLVES
Nebraska Wesleyan (1-22, 0-14 A-R-C), was defeated by Coe, 66-46, in their last game. The Prairie Wolves enter this week on a 12 game losing streak. NWU's lone win of 2024-25 came on New Year's Eve where the Prairie Wolves defeated Crown College 82-53. 

Offensively, the Prairie Wolves average 53 points per game. The team shoots at a 34.2% clip from the floor, with a 27.7% mark from beyond the arc. NWU shoots 65.6% from the free throw line. HEAD COACH JIM WIEDIE
Jim Wiedie is in his first season as head coach in 2024. He holds an 1-22 record as the head coach at NWU. Wiedie brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. Wiedie has amassed an overall coaching record of 311-226 across 19 years as a head coach at the NCAA Division I and II levels. Known for his strong player development, Wiedie will look to instill a winning culture at Nebraska Wesleyan.

Before joining the Prairie Wolves, Wiedie served as an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska Omaha, focusing on recruiting and player development. He also holds the distinction of being the all-time winningest coach at both the University of Findlay during their Division II era and Indiana State University, leading those programs to new heights.
