Prairie Wolves Women's Basketball Earns Top Spot in NCAA DIII on WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll

ATLANTA, Ga. – For the first time in program history, the Nebraska Wesleyan University women's basketball team earned the No. 1 ranking in NCAA Division III in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, the organization announced Tuesday.

The Prairie Wolves posted a team grade-point average of 3.897 during the 2025-26 academic year, leading all NCAA Division III women's basketball programs in the nation. The No. 1 ranking recognizes the collective academic achievement of every student-athlete on Nebraska Wesleyan's roster throughout the season.

Nebraska Wesleyan's top ranking comes during the first season under head coach Sydney Golladay, marking a historic milestone for the Prairie Wolves' program. The No. 1 finish is the highest placement in school history since the WBCA began compiling its academic honor roll.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls recognize women's basketball programs across NCAA Divisions I, II and III, as well as NAIA institutions, that achieve the highest combined grade-point averages among all rostered student-athletes.

The 2025-26 honor roll marks the 31st year the WBCA has recognized the nation's top academic women's basketball programs.
