LINCOLN, Neb.  –  Kate Dilsaver, a former Fort Hays State player and teammate of head coach Sydney Golladay, has joined the Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball staff as an assistant coach. Golladay announced the hiring Monday.

"I am thrilled to add Kate Dilsaver to our staff at Nebraska Wesleyan," said Golladay. "I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the preparation, energy, and basketball IQ she brings every day. Kate understands what it takes to compete and win at a high level, and I have no doubt she will have an immediate impact on our student-athletes both on and off the court."

Dilsaver has built a diverse background in basketball operations, athletics communications and player development. During her graduate studies at Fort Hays State University, she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting while also working in sports information, supporting gameday operations across six sports, including statistical tracking, live streaming and social media coverage. In March, she served as a Championship Intern for the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship in Kansas City, coordinating credentialing, game operations and award presentations.

Dilsaver was also selected for the NBA's Future Basketball Operations Stars Program, a competitive five-month basketball operations and sport business development initiative. Through the program, she completed projects focused on player development and NBA trade deadline analysis and presented her findings to league office staff.

She brings coaching experience as well, having served as an assistant coach at Thomas More Prep-Marian Junior High while also working for three years as an individual and small-group basketball trainer, helping youth athletes in the Hays area develop their skills, basketball IQ and confidence.

I'm excited to contribute to a culture that promotes growth, accountability and success both on and off the court."

Dilsaver holds an MBA in Sports Management and a BBA in Accounting from Fort Hays State University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in both programs. She was a four-year letter winner for the Tigers from 2021-25, appearing in 125 games over four seasons. During that time, she served as vice president and later president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

On the court, Dilsaver earned all-conference and all-defensive recognition during her career while helping lead the Tigers to three NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, including a run to the NCAA Central Region Championship Game in 2021-22. That season, FHSU posted a 30-4 overall record while claiming both the MIAA Regular Season Co-Championship and MIAA Tournament Championship.

A Lincoln, Nebraska, native, Dilsaver returns to her hometown. Her sister, Dannie, serves as an assistant swimming coach at Nebraska Wesleyan.
