Dubuque, IA - Nebraska Wesleyan cross country battled at the American Rivers Conference championship meet, Saturday. The Prairie Wolf women placed fourth, while the men took fifth.
WOMEN'S RACE
The Prairie Wolf women earned fourth place as a team with 140 points, which marked the program's best finish since placing third at the 2020 conference meet. Senior 
Delaney Vacek led Nebraska Wesleyan, crossing the line in 23:18.5, and taking 26th overall. 
Payton Jorczak and freshman 
Jenna Lake followed close behind, finishing 36th and 40th with times of 23:38.8 and 23:46.7. 
Avary Byers and 
Aubrey Kipper rounded out NWU's top five, finishing in 45th and 47th. 
MEN'S RACE
Nebraska Wesleyan earned fifth place as a team in the men's race with 147 points. Leading the charge was freshman 
Noah Thomas, who ran a personal best time of 25:002.2, while earning 24th. 
Conner Ross ranked second for the Black and Gold, crossing the line in 25:23.2 and earning 34th overall. NWU's third, fourth, and fifth runners were 
Thomas Vasquez, 
Dylan Lender and 
Diego Chojolan who finished 40th, 61st, and 68th respectively.
UP NEXT
Nebraska Wesleyan will travel to Waverly, Iowa, to compete at the NCAA Midwest Regional on November 15th.
