Waverly, IA - Nebraska Wesleyan capped its 2025 cross country season at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED - MEN
Nebraska Wesleyan finished eighth as a team at the meet, which is a notable improvement from last season's 14th place finish. This is the first time since 2018 that NWU has ranked inside the top 10 at the regional meet. Individually, the Prairie Wolves had three runners finish the 8 kilometer race in under 26 minutes, with
Conner Ross claiming 34th and securing Nebraska Wesleyan's first all-region performance since 2018 while finishing in a time of 25:32.1.
Noah Thomas followed close behind, finishing 37th at 25:41.5, while
Thomas Vasquez took 47th at 25:56.8.
Evan Brown and
Dylan Lender rounded out Nebraska Wesleyan's top five at 55th and 69th.
HOW IT HAPPENED - WOMEN
Nebraska Wesleyan improved upon last season's 17th place finish by claiming 14th. This is NWU's best finish at a regional meet since taking 15th in 2022.
Payton Jorczak led Nebraska Wesleyan, taking 49th and finish in 23:43.
Avary Byers and
Aubrey Kipper were Nebraska Wesleyan's second and third runners, taking 77th and 87th, with times of 24:09.1 and 24:20.2.
Delaney Vacek concluded her cross country career with a 93rd place finish, while
Jenna Lake checked in at 97th.

Today marks the end of Nebraska Wesleyan's cross country season. The Prairie Wolves will now transition to the track in preparation for the 2025-26 indoor season.
