LINCOLN, Neb. (March 13th, 2024) - Nebraska Wesleyan is set to host Concordia College in a three game series beginning Friday, March 15th. This will be the Prairie Wolves first home series of the season.

• This weekend will mark the eighth, ninth, and tenth match ups between the two teams. Concordia leads the all time series 6-1.

• Friday, March 15th, 2024: The first pitch for game one of the series is set for 4:00 p.m. Nebraska Wesleyan's team1sports page will live stream the game. Nebraska Wesleyan will carry live stats.
• Saturday, March 16th, 2024: Saturday will see the two teams play a doubleheader. SCOUTING THE PRAIRIE WOLVES
Nebraska Wesleyan enters this weekend with a 4-7 record. The Prairie Wolves took one of three games against the University of Dallas last weekend. Nebraska Wesleyan has a batting average of .241, with five home runs, 59 RBIs and a slugging percentage of .353. Nebraska Wesleyan's pitchers have an ERA of 5.30 and a WHIP of 1.52. Defensively, the Prairie Wolves carry a .969 fielding percentage.

ERIC IGNATOWSKI PROFILE
Eric Ignatowski was hired as the 11th head coach in program history in November of 2022 and enters his second season as the skipper of Nebraska Wesleyan. In his first season, he directed the Prairie Wolves to a 14-26 record. Prior to taking over at Nebraska Wesleyan, Ignatowski spent 10 years as an assistant coach at Millikan University, where he helped the Big Blue win the CCIW Tournament Championship in 2021. Ignatowski also coached 25 athletes who were awarded All-Conference honors.

COMING IN CLUTCH
Brady Bell had two clutch hits in Nebraska Wesleyan's game three victory over the University of Dallas. Entering the eighth, Nebraska Wesleyan trailed 3-1. With the bases loaded and two outs, Bell laced a single to center field, which scored Jake Gerardis and Brayden Harvey and tied the game at three. In the tenth inning, Bell gave Nebraska Wesleyan a 4-3 lead with another two out RBI single. This wound up being the winning run as Nebraska Wesleyan added two more, and kept the Crusaders scoreless in the bottom half of the inning. 

NEBRASKA WESLEYAN BASEBALL TRADITION
Nebraska Wesleyan has won 23 conference championships with the most recent occurring in 2009. NWU's last tournament appearance occurred in 1982. Since joining the American Rivers Conference, the Prairie Wolves best finish is third in 2022. 

SCOUTING THE COBBERS
Concordia College enters this weekend with a 3-8 record. The Cobbers have lost their last six games. Justin Kloster has recorded a 11 hits and holds a .333 batting average. As a team, the Cobbers carry a .286 batting average and have scored 51 runs on the season. The Cobbers are coached by Anthony Renz who is in his second season.
