During that time, the Plainsmen won the NIAC in 1973, 74, and 75, while posting a dual record of 94-136-7. The wrestling program was dropped at the conclusion of the 1980-81 season. Then in 2016, after over 40 years, the program was reactivated as Nebraska Wesleyan joined the IIAC. Since wrestlings return, the Prairie Wolves have posted a 19-72 record in dual action.
