PELLA, Iowa — Nebraska Wesleyan wrestling used its final tune-up before the postseason to build momentum Friday night, claiming one individual title and placing 11 wrestlers in the top six at the Central Last Chance Invitational.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Competing in a mix of traditional brackets and round-robin formats, the Prairie Wolves leaned on bonus points and depth across the lineup. At 133 pounds,
Christopher McClanahan set the tone. In a three-man round robin, he secured two falls, first in 2:10 over Central's Carter Cianfrogna, then in 2:29 against teammate
Isaiah Graves, to capture the title. Nebraska Wesleyan added four more top-three finishes, highlighted by third-place efforts from
Randy Guerra (141),
Braike Jones (184) and
Habeeb Raji (197).
