2020-21: Became NWU's only two-time All-American wrestler... placed 4th at 133 at the NWCA National Championships (NWCA National Championships Replaced NCAA Championships Due To COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic).. 8-0 overall regular-season record, including two pins, two major decisions, and one tech fall...12-2 overall record
2019-20: No NCAA Winter Championships Due To COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic... 33-3 overall record, 8-0 dual record... had nine pins, won five matches by tech fall, and six matches by major decision.
2018-19: Became NWU’s first NCAA III All-American in wrestling … placed 8th at 125 at the NCAA III Championships … placed 2nd at NCAA III Lower Midwest Regional to qualify for nationals … named American Rivers All-Conference at 125 … at nationals upset the No. 4 seed in the first round … fell to No. 5 seed 3-2 in the quarterfinals … added one more win in wrestlebacks then lost 9-6 in 7th place match … ended the year with a 34-12 overall record … went 11-1 in duals, going 7-1 in conference matches … opened season placing 1st at the Yellowjacket Open … finished as runner-up at 125 at the Luther Open and Don Parker Open … placed 5th at the Augie/Adidas Invitational … entered national ranking at No. 9 in NWCA Poll to become first NWU wrestler to be ranked.
Before NWU: Haynes competed at Chadron State, NCAA Division II member, for one season before transferring to NWU.
Academic: Undeclared major.
In High School: As a senior was the Nebraska Class A State Champion at 126 pounds competing for Omaha Central High School in 2017 … a four-time state qualifier and three-time state placer … finished 3rd at 113 as a junior in 2016 … placed 4th at 106 at the 2015 state championships … also participated in track & field and cross country.
