NEBRASKA WESLEYAN SEASON IN REVIEW
Nebraska Wesleyan last competed at the Greeno/Dirksen Invite on Saturday, September 21st. At the meet, Nebraska Wesleyan placed 19th on the mens side, with sophomore
Thomas Vasquez running a team best 26:50.46 in the 8k, which was good for 74th overall. Nebraska Wesleyan's women's team finished in 21st, with freshman
Tyrah American Horse running a team best time of 20:30.36 while placing 110th. Nebraska Wesleyan also competed at its annual Alumni meet on Saturday, September 14th.
HEAD COACH CHAD BERENS
Now in his second year as Nebraska Wesleyan's cross country head coach,
Chad Berens continues to build on the program's legacy. Last season, Berens coached
Gabby Thomas to her third All-Conference honor. Berens joined Nebraska Wesleyan after serving as director of track and field and cross country operations at the University of Utah.
NEBRASKA WESLEYAN CROSS COUNTRY TRADITION
Nebraska Wesleyan has a proud cross country history, boasting 22 men's conference titles and 15 women's conference titles. Nationally, the men's team has finished in the top 10 nine times, while the women's team has placed in the top 20 nine times.
