Hougue Wins Title to Highlight Augie Qualifier

HOW IT HAPPENED

The National Meet is all that awaits the Prairie Wolf track and field teams after a lengthy day of action at Augustana (Ill.). Isabella Hogue's victory in the 100-meter dash on Thursday was the meet's highlight.
Isabella Hogue from Murray, Nebraska won the women's 100-meter dash in 11.86 seconds. The defending national champion set a season best and qualified for the national meet.
The men's 4x400 relay team of Kyle Dickinson, Gabe Anderson, Morgan Conner, and Garrett Lenners finished second and set a new school record in the final track event of the meet (3:09.79).
In the men's long jump, Conner, a sophomore from York, Nebraska, came in second place. On his sixth and last effort, he jumped 7.01 meters, falling just 0.09 meters short of first place. The Prairie Wolf sprinter and jumper is already having a significant impact for Nebraska Wesleyan after spending a year at Wichita State and another at Nebraska.
Freshman, Dallen Booker also got on the podium with a third-place finish in the men's triple jump. After coming off his all-conference honor in the event, he posted a personal best of 14.30M.
