Track and Field Shows Strength; Claims Five Events at Jim Dutcher Memorial Classic

HOW IT HAPPENED

After canceling their triangular meet with Simpson College and Central College, Nebraska Wesleyan University track and field squeezed their way into the Jim Dutcher Memorial Classic hosted by Doane University on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
With a javlin throw of 46.41 meters, Avery Decker took home gold and rose to the top of the NCAA. Additionally, Decker's throw became the second-farthest in school history.
In the long jump, Morgan Conner cleared 6.85 meters to take first place.
Fellow jumper, Dallen Booker, took the top spot in the triple jump with a leap of 13.88 meters.
Nebraska Wesleyan's men's 4x100 teams made a sandwich at the top of the leader boards, securing a first and third place finish.
The consistently improving men's 4x400 relay team continued to shine as they won their and clocked the fifth-fastest time in the nation.
