Prairie Wolves Win 10 Events At The Concordia Bulldog Invitational

SEWARD, Neb. (April 10, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan men's and women's track and field teams squared off against familiar foes at the Concordia Bulldog Invitational in Seward, Nebraska. The NWU women's team had five champions and the men's team had five champions.

Aspen Rolfes won the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.83, the fastest time of her spring season this year. Rolfes also ran to victory in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.61 as the Prairie Wolves swept the top four places in the event. Camryn Larsen took first in the 800-meter run with a performance of 2:19.99, more than two seconds ahead of the runner-up.

Tessa Hoffman jumped to a win in the triple jump with a mark of 35'-7.25". Hoffman's final jump in the event was her best mark. Linnaea Konfrst won the discus for the second straight week with a performance of 145'-10". In the 100-meter dash, Maddie Moran ran a 12.09, which was the fastest time in the prelims and broke an NWU program record.

Ben Christenson took first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.25 as he edged out two runners by .01. Kyle Dickinson won the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.51, which is his best performance at NWU. The 800-meter run was won by Garrett Lenners, by more than a second, as he turned in a time of 1:56.58.

Mason Coulter claimed gold in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:15.71, just under a second ahead of the next competitor. Colby Karr cruised to victory in the 5000-meter run as he won the event by 13 seconds with a performance of 16:14.15
