PELLA, Iowa - (February 13, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan men's track and field team won the Central College Triangular in Pella, Iowa with 123 points and the women's track and field team finished second in the triangular with 94.5 points. It is the second straight event won by the NWU men's team.

The Prairie Wolf men's team started with a win from Marshall Chasek in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.47. A few events later, Colby Karr claimed gold in the mile run with a time of 4:38.76. Kyle Dickinson won the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.83 followed by a win in the 800-meter run by Garrett Lenners, as he turned in a time of 1:57.79. 

Lenner anchored the 4x400-meter relay team to a win with a time of 3:29.98. He was teamed up with Magwire Lott, Javier Kenney, and Ethan Schmidt. In field events, Seth Knapp notched a victory in the weight throw with a mark of 54' 6".

The Nebraska Wesleyan women's team received a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash from Aspen Rolfes with a time of 59.20. Rolfes also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.56. Reagan Janzen won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.13, NWU took the top five spots in the event as well. Leah Treffer claimed the title in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:44.45. 

The 4x400 relay team of Megan Carley, Camryn Larsen, Gabby Thomas, and Isabella Hilger turned in a time of 4:04.18, which won the event by more than three seconds.

Nebraska Wesleyan travels to the Wartburg Triangular in Waverly, Iowa on Saturday, February 20 with the start time scheduled for 1 p.m.
