LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Wesleyan women's golf team finished as the runner-up at the NWU Pink Classic that was played on Tuesday (Sept. 6) at Pioneers Golf Course in Lincoln. The Prairie Wolves had a team score of 353 to earn the runner-up finish.
William Penn University had the top seven placers on the day to earn the tournament title. William Penn shot a team score of 302 to easily outdistance the rest of the field. Elise Warne was the individual medalist as she fired a round of 73.
NWU had two players finish in the top ten.
Sam Beal led the way by shooting a 83 to finish in 9
th place. One stroke behind Beal was teammate
Joselyn Lemm who finished with a 84 to place 10
th.
Rachel Petik and
Sally Barie rounded out the top four in the Prairie Wolves lineup. Petik shot a 91 to place 13
th, while Barie shot 93 to tie for 14
th.
Midland University and Hastings College were the other teams competing in the 2
nd Annual NWU Pink Classic.
