ABOUT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Wednesday night will mark Nebraska Wesleyan's fourth outdoor meet of the season. NWU kicked off its campaign with numerous personal bests and three top five finishes at the USM Distance Festival. The Prairie Wolves then trekked west to Kearney, where Sam Clements broke the school's 46 year old shot put record with a toss of 17.59 meters. Reed Emsick kept the momentum rolling for the men with a dominant two-second victory in the 800, while Aydon McDonald launched the second farthest javelin throw in school history en-route to a ninth place finish. On the women's side, Ainsley Galyen raced to a first place finish, and life time best 57.09 in the 400, while Jadah Laughlin claimed the ninth fastest 100 hurdle time in school history. In the field, Kaelyn Means and Lyndsie Bosquez claimed the sixth and 10th farthest hammer throws in school history. Arynn Spence and Angelina Schademann continued the dominant showing with personal bests in Javelin. NWU last competed at the Concordia invitational, where the team scored 26 top-five finishes, highlighted by first place efforts from Aydon McDonald (Javelin), Grahm Peterson & Robbie Rist (Pole Vault) and Sam Clements (shot put). NWU also saw second place finishes from Madelyn McBratney (5K), Avary Byers (10K), and Conner Ross (10K). NWU's strong performances have vaulted the program into the national rankings, where the men sit at 14th and the women at 22nd.
