Track and Field Impresses at Wartburg Qualifier

Lincoln, NE - Nebraska Wesleyan track and field delivered impressive results at the Wartburg Qualifier 

HOW IT HAPPENED
On the track, the 60 meter hurdle squads led the way. For the men, Noah Smith claimed the event title in 8.13, while Jacob Young ran 8.16 to set a new personal best. The women also delivered strong performances, as Rachel Smith clocked 8.93 to secure third, while Jadah Laughlin finished in a personal best time of 8.96. NWU also performed well In the 60 meter dash as Ghaith Taha and Steven Dalmeida took sixth and eighth respectively. In relays, the women's 1600 meter relay consisting of Ainsley Galyen, Chloe Mooberry, Raegan Levi, and McKenna Smith took eighth, while the men's distance medley squad of Reed Emsick, McClain Meyer, Alex Ienn, and Conner Ross ran a season best 10:13.29 while earning ninth. Nebraska Wesleyan also showed out in the field with Colin Wojtkiewicz and Emmilly Berglund taking first in the men's and women's shot put. The women's long jump and weight throw squads continued their strong seasons, with Chloe Mooberry and Aaliyah Franklin finishing second and fifth in long jump, while Kaelyn Means, Makenna Meyer and Lyndsie Bosquez went second, fourth, and fifth in weight throw. In the men's weight throw and and pole vault, Jonathan Lee and Grahm Peterson each placed sixth.

Noah Smith (60MH): 23rd - 8.13
Jacob Young (60MH): 30th - 8.16
Jadah Laughlin (60MH): 47th - 8.96

UP NEXT
Nebraska Wesleyan will compete at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships on Friday, March 13th, and Saturday, March 14th. The meet will be held in Birmingham, Alabama.
