CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Three Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis players earned postseason recognition from the American Rivers Conference on Wednesday, highlighted by senior Jacob Balfany's selections to the All-A-R-C singles and doubles teams. Freshman Gavin Nichols and sophomore Sam Rademacher received honorable mention honors.
Balfany, a Lincoln Southwest product, anchored NWU's lineup at No. 1 singles, finishing conference play with a 4-4 record in individual matches. He added a 4-3 doubles mark alongside partner Sam Rademacher, including a key win over Central's top pairing in April.
Rademacher, a sophomore, went 4-3 in A-R-C doubles at the number one position during the regular season. Nichols, the program's first freshman honoree since 2020, posted a 5-3 singles record at No. 2, winning four straight matches in the middle of the regular season.
NWU finished 4-4 in conference play, for a second year in a row.
