WAVERLY, Iowa — The Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team saw its season come to a close Tuesday at No. 3 seed Wartburg, falling 4-1 in the quarterfinal round of the American Rivers Conference Championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Wartburg swept the doubles point, taking the No. 1 and No. 2 positions before the No. 3 match went unfinished with the point already decided. The Prairie Wolves dropped three singles matches, with Ashton Rames providing the lone bright spot for Nebraska Wesleyan with a straight-sets victory at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1, over Robert Matera. The No. 2 and No. 3 singles matches were left unfinished after Wartburg had already clinched the match.
At No. 1 doubles, the tandem of Glenn McChristian and Ashton Rames fell to Robert Matera and Benny Ramker, 6-2. Gavin Nichols and Riley Voss dropped the No. 2 doubles match to Cole Palese and Landon Murch, 6-4.
In singles play, Riley Voss fell at No. 1 to Cole Palese, 6-1, 7-5. Glenn McChristian dropped the No. 5 position to Benny Ramker, 6-0, 6-2, and Ian Armbrust fell at No. 6 to Landon Murch, 6-4, 6-0.
The loss closes out the 2025-26 season for the Prairie Wolves.
