Box Score LINCOLN, Neb. - The Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team fell 6-1 to Central College in an American Rivers Conference matchup Tuesday afternoon. Despite the scoreline, the Prairie Wolves saw standout performances at the top of their lineup and competitive battles throughout the afternoon.
How It Happened
Central claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, but Nebraska Wesleyan's top duo of Jacob Balfany and Sam Rademacher delivered a 6-2 victory over Central's Fletcher and Wilkins.
In singles play, Balfany continued his strong season with a convincing 6-4, before winning by default  at the No. 1 position, securing NWU's lone point of the day. Tyler Blair pushed his match to a third-set tiebreak at No. 4 singles before falling 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in a hard-fought battle. Ian Armbrust showed progress at No. 5, forcing a third-set tiebreak before ultimately dropping his match 6-2, 1-6, 7-6
