LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan's track and field teams fell to Doane in Saturday's dual meet, with the men losing 118-70 and the women 119-63. Despite the team results, the Prairie Wolves delivered standout performances, including a new national-leading mark and multiple program top-10 updates.
Women's Highlights
The women's squad opened strong with Natalie Cummins and Chloe Mooberry going 1-2 in the long jump, both hitting personal bests. Cummins' 5.60m (18-4.50) moved her to 5th all-time at NWU, while Mooberry's 5.55m (18-2.50) now ranks 10th.
Avery Decker stole the show in the javelin, launching a season-best 47.50m (155-10), the top mark in Division III this year. The women's 4x100m relay (Keeley Hourigan,
Raegan Levi, Chloe Mooberry, Natalie Cummins) also impressed, clocking 47.30 to jump to 3rd in school history and 9th nationally.
Men's Highlights
The men's team saw wins from Trevor Larson (800m – 1:55.31) and Connor Plahn (400m hurdles – 54.31). Sam Clements dominated the shot put (15.86m/52-0.50), while Eli Mackowski cleared 2.06m (6-9.00) for 2nd in the high jump.
The 4x400m relay (Morgan Conner, McClain Meyer, Gavin Vlcan, Connor Plahn) took 2nd in 3:19.45, and McClain Meyer nabbed 2nd in the 400m (49.07).
