Box Score LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis rolled past Loras College 6-1 on Friday at the NWU Tennis Complex, securing four straight-set singles wins to clinch the match early.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Prairie Wolves won two out of three in doubles play to take a 1-0 lead. Jacob Balfany and Sam Rademacher won 6-3 at No. 1, while Ian Armbrust and Glenn McChristian secured a tight 7-5 victory at No. 3. Gavin Nichols and Tyler Blair dropped their match at No. 2.
NWU carried momentum into singles, dropping just one point on the afternoon. Nichols cruised 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2, and Blair followed with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4. Armbrust sealed the team victory at No. 5, winning 6-2, 7-5. Balfany added a gritty three-set win at No. 1 (7-6(3), 3-6, [10-8]), while Rademacher closed the day with a 6-1, 6-0 result at No. 3. Loras' lone point came at No. 6.
