Seward, Neb. – The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams showcased their depth and talent at the Polar Dog Invitational on Friday, earning national-caliber marks.

Men's Highlights
Junior McClain Meyer delivered one of the day's standout performances in the 200 meters, running a personal-best 22.45 to claim the top spot. His time ranks 10th in school history. Senior Austin Nauert finished second in the event with a strong 22.55.
Freshman Sam Clements made waves in just the second meet of his collegiate career. Clements muscled a 16.00m (52-06.00) throw in the shot put, breaking the NWU freshman record. Senior Eric Lenz and junior Colin Wojtkiewicz made their presence known in the weight throw, with marks of 16.78m (55-00.75) and 15.94m (52-03.75), ranking in the top 20 and top 50 nationally, respectively.
In the hurdles, senior Tanner Johnson nailed the opening hurdle en route to running 8.39 in the 60-meter hurdles, the ninth-fastest time in program history. Junior Lachlan Pickering soared to a mark of 6.83m (22-05.00) in the long jump, ranking him in the national top 50.
Women's Highlights
Senior Natalie Cummins put together an impressive day on the track and in the field. She clocked back-to-back 7.94s in the 60 meters, securing fourth place, while her series of jumps in the long jump resulted in a 5.36m (17-07.00) mark, currently a top-30 national performance.
Sophomore Emmilly Berglund was dominant in the women's shot put, throwing 13.03m (42-09.00) to place fifth and notch a current top-10 mark nationally. Teammates Kaelyn Means (15.66m) and Ja'Dein Madison (15.42m) delivered strong performances in the weight throw, both landing top-50 marks nationally early in the season.
On the track, junior Raegan Levi placed eighth in the 200 meters (26.73), while sophomore Chloe Mooberry added an eighth-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.17m (16-11.50). Senior Emily Druse cleared 3.30m (10-10.00) in the pole vault to secure second place in her event.
