LINCOLN, Neb. (May 3, 2024) - One week before hosting the A-R-C Outdoor Championships, the Nebraska Wesleyan track and field team took a day trip to Vermillion, South Dakota to compete in the USD Tune Up.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Returning back to his roots, Morgan Conner jumped 7.29m in the men's long jump to place second. His mark currently sits tenth in all of Division III and ninth in school history.
- Noah Smith cleared the men's 110m hurdles in 14.46 to finish third. Smith trailed his teammate Eli Etherton, who clocked in at 14.39 and finished second. Etherton's time puts him 18th in the country currently and moves him up to seventh in school history.Â
- Colin Wojtkiewicz got back to business and recorded a massive throw of 53.79m in the men's hammer throw. The sophomore finished fifth out of 34 competitors.
- In her first 200m of the season, Isabella Hogue placed second with a time of 24.26. That time puts Hogue third in the country.
- Taking home gold, Eli Mackowski cleared 2.10m in the men's high. Mackowski's mark currently sits second in all of Division III and fifth in school history.
