Box Score LINCOLN, Neb. (April 23, 2024) - For the first time in program history, the Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team defeated Loras College, 6-3, on Tuesday night. The Prairie Wolves' victory, propels the Black and Gold into the American Rivers Conference Tournament as the projected fifth seed.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a win by No. 2 singles, Jacob Balfany (6-2, 6-1), NWU handed the Duhawks three straight losses to close out the evening's singles. Sam Rademacher and Daniel Bernhardson stayed composed as they defeated their opponents in set tiebreakers. Freshman, Tyler Blair, split the first two sets with Loras before closing things out with a 10-7, Set 3 victory.
- Rademacher, Bernhardson, and Blair continued their winning ways into doubles, all securing two wins on the night. The duo of Sam Rademacher and Tyler Blair dominated their opponents 8-3. No. 3 doubles Ian Armbrust and Daniel Bernhardson cemented the conference victory with an 8-2 win.
- Nebraska Wesleyan defeated Loras College, 6-3, and pick up their third A-R-C victory of the year.
