LINCOLN, NEB. (February 10, 2024) - On Friday, Nebraska Wesleyan's Track and Field team took a trip up north to Brookings, South Dakota, to partake in the two-day SDSU Classic.
HOW IT HAPPENED: DAY ONE
- Isabella Hogue took home first in the women's 200 meter dash on Friday. Her time was 24.58.
- Morgan Conner earned second in the men's 200 meter dash with a time of 21.68. Conner's time was the third fastest indoor 200 meter dash time in school history.
- Nebraska Wesleyan's men's 4x800 meter relay team, consisting of Gabe Anderson, Carter Siems, Lucas Steuter, and Javier Kenney took second with a time of 7:50.05. This is now the ninth fastest time in school history.
OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
HOW IT HAPPENED: DAY TWO
- Ja'Dein Madison recorded the fourth farthest weight throw in school history and took seventh. Her throw was 17.02 meters.
- Kaelyn Means also moved up the charts in the women's weight throw, recording the seventh farthest throw in school history. Her throw was 16.25 meters.
- Eric Lenz threw the seventh farthest throw in school history in the men's shot put. His throw of 16.29 meters earned him fourth place.
- Eric Lenz recorded the fifth farthest throw in school history in the men's weight throw. His throw was 17.82 meters.
- Morgan Conner placed third and ran the second fastest time in school history in the men's 400 meter dash. His time was 48.00.
- Keeley Hourigan ran the ninth fastest time in school history in the women's 60 meter hurdles. Her time of 9.20 placed her 16th in the 60 meter hurdle prelims.
- Delaney Vacek ran the sixth fastest time in school history in the women's 800 meter run and placed 16th. Her time was 2:17.81.

Next Friday, Nebraska Wesleyan will send athletes to the Nebraska Tune-Up and the Loper Tune-Up. The Nebraska Tune-Up is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. The Loper Tune-Up is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
