REVIVAL OF NEBRASKA WESLEYAN WRESTLING
Nebraska Wesleyan holds a storied and resilient wrestling history that is split into two eras. The original NWU wrestling program existed from 1962 to 1981. During that time, the Plainsmen won the NIAC in 1973, 74, and 75, while posting a dual record of 94-136-7. The wrestling program was dropped at the conclusion of the 1980-81 season. Then in 2016, after over 40 years, the program was reactivated as Nebraska Wesleyan joined the IIAC. Since wrestlings return, the Prairie Wolves have posted a 19-72 record in dual action. The program saw
Eron Haynes earn All-American honors in 2019 and 2021, while also excelling in the classroom with four academic All-Americans.
