LINCOLN, Neb. (September 6, 2023) - Nebraska Wesleyan cross country opens their season in Lincoln, Nebraska with their annual Alumni Meet. The meet will start at 9:00 A.M. at Pioneers Park on Saturday, September 9.

2022 SEASON RECAP:

• Gabby Thomas qualified for the 2022 NCAA DII Cross Country Championships.
• Gabby Thomas represented the Prairie Wolves on the A-R-C All-Conference team.
• The women's cross country team posted the nation's seventh best GPA (3.86) over the 2022-23 academic year, earning a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Academic team.
• The men's cross country team posted a 3.55 GPA over the 2022-23 academic year, earning a spot on the USTFCCA All-Academic team.

2023 SEASON PREVIEW:

• The Black and Gold will return 12 student-athletes with running experience, including 2022 National qualifier, Gabby Thomas.
• Coach Mckenzie and Berens will welcome eight freshman to the team.

HEAD COACH DERRICK MCKENZIE COMMENTS:
